Regular Meeting, July 13

Central Florida MQG
using Zoom since 2020

We’re very glad that 17 of our members logged into Zoom on Monday evening to attend our second official Zoom meeting. It’s alway good to see friends, chat about what’s new in our stay-at-home lives, and see what we’re working on.

We had another successful Show and Tell (link is below) with good pictures, and maker and quilt info provided in a better way. An unexpected benefit of using the Zoom format for Show and Tell is being able to look at a quilt or project while the maker tells us about it. We’re able to ask questions, get answers, and generally learn a little more.

Save August Dates!

In August we’ll have two more Zoom sessions!

Saturday Sew-In – August 8, 12:30 to 2:30 pm
Meeting – Monday, August 10, 7 pm

As before, please email your Show and Tell pictures and information to CFMQG. You may submit up to three modern quilts/projects (two pictures of each) along with Show and Tell information.

Several of our members have joined our #cfmqgbom, making Skill Builder blocks designed by Pile O’ Fabric.

Instructions for each month’s block are emailed to members from President Karen. It’s not too late to join-in! Or, follow #cfmqgbom on Instagram to see what everyone is making.
